In attendance: Alex, Karen, Lexi, Mitch and Rob.
Games: Only 2 Lines, Whose Line.
Notes: (I added this five months late... sorry. check out the quotes)
In attendance: Alex, Brian, Christie, Joey, Karen, Kevin, Lexi, Mitch and Rob.
Games: Big Booty, Conductor, Freeze, I like my Women, Party Quirks, Punk'd, What are you Doing?, Whose line.
Notes: (I added this five months late... sorry. check out the quotes)
In attendance: unknown
Games: Customer Service, I like my Women, Whose Line.
Notes: (I added this five months late... sorry. check out the quotes)
In attendance: Alex, Brian, Jason, Karen, Lexi, Rob.
Games: Syllable charades, Whose line... maybe something else?
Notes: Well, Mitch didn't come this time. It was weird, because he's always here. We didn't take any pictures from today, but Rob gave me a CD with pictures from previous meets, so check those new ones out. One of the most amusing parts of this meeting was finding out that Brian hadn't done his taxes yet. We all went to Baker's Square afterwards anyway. Yep. It's improv. It's real. It's da shit.
In attendance: Alex, Brian, Jason, Karen, Lexi, Mitch, Rob.
Games: Change personality, Customer service, Freeze, Whose line.
Notes: Karen's car broke down on the way to improv, so she was pretty glum most of the time. Plus, we got kicked out of our room because some people claimed to have reserved it, so we went into the big room (106). The lighting in there is better for pictures anyway. For whatever reason, there was a muppet fetish sorta goin on with today's meeting. All that aside, at the end of the meeting, we put up a notice on the board about a "HDwP Annual Pogo-to-Perkins" for April 15th, which is next Thursday, at 7pm in the same room. I wonder if anyone will show up... As always, there are pictures.
In attendance: Brian, Jason, Karen, Lexi, Mitch.
Games: Countdown, Whose line. Maybe some other ones, but they didn't get marked off.
Notes: Short meeting. Seems to be the trend. We did get a couple of quotes though, and that was great. Being that it's April 1st, I'm surprised that nothing too special happened. I mean, seriously. After the meeting, Lexi, Scott, and Alex came by to Karen's and ate ice cream and watched The Lost Boys. Everyone else was too sucky to come.
In attendance: Alex, Brian, Karen, Lexi, Mitch, Rob.
Games: Change personality, Dating game, Syllable charades, Whose line.
Notes: Ah, the joy of attending improv when you have a paper due. This session wasn't all that long, as can be expected, since a lot of people were late and hungry. Yep, this is the last meeting before spring break, and we still got a decent showing. Hot Date with Pets - Always a good decision.
In attendance: Alex, Jason, Karen, Lexi, Mitch.
Games: Freeze, Only Two Lines, Whose Line.
Notes: Aside from the picture of my ass, this meeting went well. Brian couldn't come cuz he's a douche-- er, I mean because he scheduled some French class at the same time as our meeting, so we may be switching to Thursdays. Later in the week, we're generally more lively anyhow. Check out the other pictures.
(I found it yeay!) In attendance: Alex, Brian, Jason, Karen, Lexi, Mitch, Rob.
Games: Criminal, Hesitation Speech, Trigger Word, Whose Line.
Notes: Well, I'm glad I found this dailies page. I knew I had it somewhere... and it had great quotes, like "Those things can't breathe in milk!" What more could you ask for? So, without further ado, uh, the pictures.
In attendance: Alex, Brian, Jason, Karen, Lexi, Mitch.
Games: Freeze, N-Words, Syllable Charades, Whose Line.
Notes: Lexi has strongly influenced the group to get dessert ... early. Hence the short list of games. Look at the pictures.
In attendance: Alex, Brian, Jason, Karen, Lexi, Marcia, Mitch, Rob.
Games: Foreign Film Dub, Hitchhiker, Moving Bodies, Only Two Lines, Party Quirks, Super Hero, Ventriloquist, What are you doing?, Whose Line.
Notes: Uh, we came. We played. We conquered desserts afterwards. Check out the pictures.
In attendance: Alex, Brian, Jason, John, Karen, Lexi, Mitch.
Games: Anti-Freeze, Big Booty, Customer Service, Trigger Word, What could possibly go wrong now?, Whose line.
Notes: We started with a simple trigger word scene with Alex, Brian, Jason and Mitch in it... and it went horribly right! Mix Lexi in there for the trigger word cues, and you got yourself a party in the Hot Date with Pets pants and everyone is invited. After this meeting we went to T.G.I. Friday's, and that was pretty super. We'll have to go there again sometime.
In attendance: Alex, Jason, Karen, Lexi, Mitch.
Games: Big Booty, Dating Game, Freeze, Story Line, Whose Line.
Notes: Yep, we met again. Nope, it didn't last that long this time either. Maybe we should switch back to Thursdays. Anyway, we had to go into the tiny fetus room in Lincoln, because all the rest of them were full of strange dummy-sucking CPR wannabes. After this meeting, we again went to Perkins and again remarked at the tiny urinals in the bathroom. A good time was had by all. Don't forget to check out the pictures!
In attendance: Alex, Brian, Karen, Lexi, Mitch, Rob.
Games: Anti-Freeze, Hesitation Speech, Whose Line.
Notes: Well, this was the first Tuesday meeting, and we all seemed sort of out of it. All except for Alex, who put forth a great impression of Jason, who skipped because he was being a pussy about his poor hat being hurt and about not liking playing board games with Karen and Lexi. But I digress. After this meeting we went to Perkins and remarked at the tiny urinals in the bathroom. It was entertaining.
In attendance: Alex, Brian, Jason, Karen, Lexi, Mitch.
Games: Big Booty, Customer Service, Freeze (with Jason's hat), Party Quirks, Question Game, Whose Line.
Notes: Other than Jason's hat being the victim of a not-so-heinous crime, this meeting was pretty normal. It was good to get back into the swing of things after a long, cold Christmas (or Hanukah, gotta be PC) break. And what's a meeting without pussy farts?
In attendance: Alex, Jason, Jen, Karen, Lexi
Games: Everyday olympics, Who-can-tell-the-dumbest-joke.
Notes: Yeah, we basically sat around in the big purple stairs in the center of Woodfield mall, making fun of the kids that were running around and telling terrible jokes, or at least ruining okay jokes by telling us the punchline before the joke (ahem*Lexi*ahem). In any event, it was neat. You shoulda been there.
In attendance: (not sure, but I'm guessing...) Alex, Jason, Karen, Lexi, Mitch.
Games: Antifreeze, Change personality, Customer service, Syllable charades, Whose line.
Notes: It was nice to meet near the end of finals week. We had a good time, and we talked about doing something to keep in touch over break.
In attendance: (not sure, but I'm guessing...) Alex, Jason, Karen, Lexi, Mitch.
Games: Criminal, Freeze, Syllable charades, Whose line.
Notes: Karen brought a popcorn tin that was hell to get open. But we did manage to get it open, with three people tugging at it. Us improv people are hanging out more than usual. We're our own little clique now. They started showing up for movie night, and we're making a habit of visiting Baker's Square or Steak 'n Shake after the meetings. This one, you can tell, was cut a bit short, as we all sort of wanted to just go get some late night snackies. pictures.
In attendance: Alex, Brian, Jason, Karen (even though she was recovering from the flu), Lexi, Melissa, Mitch.
Games: Anti-Freeze, Big Booty, Change, Customer service, Follow the leader, Party quirks, Super hero, Waiter, Whose line.
Notes: Yep, Karen had the flu. Pretty bad yesterday. The poor little thing still managed to show up for improv. Now that's team spirit! Not only that, she had to put up with Lexi being overly scared of catching the flu from Karen. Tsk tsk. :) pictures.
In attendance: (not sure, but I'm guessing...) Alex, Brian, Jason, Karen, Lexi, Mitch.
Games: Big booty, Freeze, Party quirks, Puppets, Stand/Sit/Bend, Whose line.
Notes: AWWWWWWW SHIT! Big booty gets play again! That was a pretty good warm up; too bad we played it more than halfway through the meeting. It was damn fun tho. We need to play that next time. Lexi fears it will attract a certain someone from next door, but hey, we can just move a few doors down and our big booty will be safe from intruders. ;)
In attendance: (not sure, but I'm guessing...) Alex, Brian, Karen, Lexi, Mitch, Rob.
Games: Criminal, Customer service, Freeze, Hesitation speech, Trigger word, Whose line.
Notes: We were in a different room today, and it was certainly odd. A certain someone happened to kick a desk to death, but I'm not naming names. Lexi left early, so it was just me and da boyz for most of this meeting. There WAS NO FLIRTING on my end anyway, no matter what Lexi says. I can't help it that paper airplanes kept flying at my ...self.
In attendance: (not sure, but I'm guessing...) Alex, Brian, Karen, Lexi, Mitch, Rob.
Games: Alphabet scene, Change personality, Customer Service, Forward/Reverse, Freeze, Hot spot, Party quirks, Paul had a ping pong ball, Super hero, Whose line.
Notes: An attempt to follow last week's meeting... but it wasn't quite as good, I'll have to admit. It's November. It's cold. People are getting lazier. Ya know. But one good thing did come out of this meeting, and I have no idea who said it (since SOME people don't write down names when they write down quotes): "The Bearenstein Bears Rock Ass."
In attendance: Brian, Dan, Herman, Jason, Karen, Katy, Lexi, Mitch, Rob.
Games: Countdown, Da doo ron ron, Foreign film dub, Freeze, Radio call in, Story line, Ventriloquist, Whose line.
Notes: What a crowd today. Nine people. Much craziness ensued (and we hope Lexi didn't scare away the young'uns :-P). This was one of the happier and funnier meetings this semester, that's for sure. Rob didn't totally flop on da doo ron ron (yahoo go Rob!), and we had Jesus taking calls for radio call in. Refreshingly disturbing. You should wish you were there. Actually, all the people who actually read this site probably *were* there. Well, wish you were back there and happily reminisce!
In attendance: Alex, Brian, Karen, Lexi, Mitch, Rob.
Games: Change, Change personality, Countdown (Monsters, Inc.), Good/Bad/Worse advice, I like my women, Syllable charades, Whose line.
Notes: Wow, Lexi has a sick mind. Of course, we already knew that. How did we know? Well, it all goes back to the old days. Aren't you upset you missed those? Anyway, this was the infamous "Mitch humps the baby mother with the bottle penis" syllable charades. Lexi was trying to get me to say "Freud" which rhymes with one of her syllables. A far stretch, yes, but she asserts that it was clear. Not to mention, this is also the meeting that ended with waaaaay too many bad dead baby and Helen Keller jokes.
In attendance: Alex, Brian, Karen, Katy, Lexi, Mitch, Rob.
Games: Countdown, Criminal, Dating game, Foreign film dub, Good/bad/worse, Two back, Whose Line.
Notes: There are a shitload of pictures from this one. Everybody seemed to have a good time, and there are 11 new quotes from this meeting. All this and it only lasted until about 10pm. We're damn good if I say so myself. :) Definitely check out the pics, tho, cuz they're great!
In attendance: Brian, Karen, Katy, Lexi, Mitch.
Games: Customer service, Everyday olympics, Forward/Reverse, Hesitation speech, Super hero, Whose Line.
Notes: We got some pictures from this one. Both Katy and Lexi left a bit early, but Bootylicious Brian brought his guitar, so Mitch, him and me all rokked out for a bit. Ok, until midnight, so it was more than a bit. We have a video from that as well. Check out his rendition of a Jimi classic.
In attendance: Bootylicious Brian, Jen, Karen, Lexi, Mitch, Rob.
Games: Change, Customer service, Da doo ron ron, Hesitation speech, I like my women, Whose line.
Notes: It seemed like everybody just wanted to come late. We had four at ten after eight, but then more and more people started showing up. In spite of Lexi's recent, yet understandable, Nazi/Karen-like behavior, this was a good meeting. Plenty of new quotes are up, and there are even new pictures up. I hope we continue to get such a good turnout. :knocks on wood:
In attendance: Bootylicious Brian, Karen, Lexi, Mitch, Rob.
Games: Change, Customer service, Freeze, I like my women, N-words, Stand/sit/bend, Super hero, Trigger words, What could possibly go wrong now?, Whose line.
Notes: We had new people show up for the fifth straight meeting! It must be a new record. Showing up today were two people that Jen and Mitch met on Sunday at a Krannert improv thing. They seemed to fit in just fine. I got more pictures, too!
In attendance: Alex, Jen, Jen #2, Karen, Katy, Lexi, Melissa, Mitch.
Games: I like my women, Freeze, Party quirks, Question game, Story line, Trigger word, Whose line.
Notes: In spite of Mitch and Lexi conspiring behind her back (lol), Karen pulled through and brought over half of the attendees. Katy, Karen's roommate, returned, as well as both of Karen's suitemates, Jen #2 and Melissa, and Alex, who lives down the hall. Alex really cracked everyone up with his line in Whose line (written by Karen): I wanna sex you up! The peanut gallery was shocked that he'd actually say it. We're all proud of him. Too bad we forgot the camera.
In attendance: Arun, Karen, Lexi, Mitch.
Games: Change personality, Customer service, I like my women, N-words, Syllable charades, Whose Line.
Notes: Thanks to Arun for coming, cuz he's cool. It was good to have another unusual guest show up, especially when that gives us the magical four. We took some more pictures.
In attendance: Karen, Lexi, Mitch. Special Guest: Casey!
Games: Alphabet scene, Change, Customer service, I like my women, Syllable charades, Whose Line.
Notes: As mentioned, we had a special guest today! Casey, who I'm told is in one or two performing improv groups on campus, came to guest star in one amazing rendition of customer service. Hurrah to his bold choice of trying to use his returnable object (dentures) in the bathtub. I think we'll all take a cue from him and do similar things in the future. It was so funny, including his grandmother's bed pan industry-- er, injury! BTW, there are pictures.
In attendance: Karen, Katy, Lexi, Mitch.
Games: Change, Change emotions, Customer service, Dating game, and Whose line.
Notes: There's no more Tim! :( We still managed the magical "4" since Katy, my roommate, came with. This was a pretty short meeting, since Katy and I were late (it's Nathaniel's fault!), and we didn't want to do it in Lincoln since RAISE THE PRAISE!!! was rather loud. Instead we moved to Davenport, in a super secret room... hehe! I forgot to take pictures (even though I remembered my camera), so we'll have to get some next time.
In attendance: Karen, Jen, Lexi, Mitch, and Tim.
Games: Change, Change emotions, Change personality, Countdown, Dating game, Freeze, I like my women, Question game, Whose Line, and Wild Kingdom.
Notes: We met for a long time, until around quarter to 10. I was going to record the countdown (three little pigs), but the camera was too low on batteries to record. Oh well. I have pictures anyway. Check em out. We even got some more quotes from today. And just out of protest, I am not putting this quote with the others. I didn't think it was funny enough to be quoted, but SOME PEOPLE (:-P) just wouldn't let it go: Lexi - "I like my women like I like my bitches, Mitch's."
In attendance: Karen, Lexi, Mitch, Nathaniel, and Tim.
Games: Alphabet scene, Change personality, Foreign film dub, Good/bad/worse advice, Hesitation speech, Syllable charades, Trigger word, Ventriloquist, and Whose line.
Notes: It's hard to believe we have so many people now. Craziness. There are pictures again, so you should be happy about that.
In attendance: Jen, Karen, Lexi, Mitch, Nathaniel and Tim.
Games: Change Personality, Customer Service, Everyday Olympics, Forward/Reverse, and Whose Line.
Notes: Jeez! Six people today! And we have pictures! Yowza!
In attendance: Jen, Karen, Lexi, Mitch and Tim.
Games: Change Personality, Countdown, Customer Service, If ya know what I mean, Party Quirks, Professor Know-It-All, Question Game, Stand/Sit/Bend, What could possibly go wrong now?, and Whose Line.
Notes: Sorry, no pics from today. I left my camera at home. Had lots of fun in spite of the lack of silly poses captured on digital film.
In attendance: Jen, Karen, Lexi, Mitch and Tim.
Games: Change, Forward/Reverse, I Like My Women, Story Line, Syllable Charades, and Whose Line.
Notes: Again, Jen was here (w00t). We have some quotes and a pic from today, as usual. I have nothing in particular to bitch about either... except I AM THE TABLE NAZI! .. nevermind.
(No HDwP b/c of Spring Break)
In attendance: Jen, Karen, Lexi, Mitch and Tim.
Games: Customer Service, Hesitation Speech, I Like My Women, Syllable Charades, and Whose Line.
Notes: Lots of fun this week. We only played a few games, but that's because we had everyone do every side of syllable charades, hesitation speech, and customer service. Those games are a lot of fun, but they can be time consuming. We've got pictures and quotes from today as well. It's nice to see Jen showed up, because we can always use more people. Who knows, maybe she'll be a regular :)
In attendance: Karen, Lexi, Mitch, and (eventually) Tim.
Games: Countdown, Customer Service, Foreign Film Dub, Forward Reverse, (which turned into) Hesitation Speech, and Whose Line.
Notes: Tim showed up a half hour late, but we didn't start without him, because we needed our fourth. It's just not right without a fourth. The Foward Reverse was really funny when it turned into Hesitation Speech. This is how it happened: The scene was Tim was a kindergarten student and I was his teacher. When "Timmy" and I finally sat down to "teach the lesson," Lexi came up and prompted me, and "Mitchy" also became a student. It was a very long and involving, although funny, sketch. There are pictures from this one, too, as always.
In attendance: Karen, Lexi, Mitch and Tim.
Games: Change, Countdown, Good/Bad/Worse Advice, I Like My Women, Professor Know-It-All, Whose Line, and two totally new games that Lexi saw at an Improv show. One was called Interrogation, where a clueless someone is in an interrogation room, and must find out what she/he did, where he/she did it, and what he/she was wearing. That was lots of fun. Also, Reverse and Forward, which turned into Hesitation Speech. That must have lasted a half hour, as all four of us were involved.
Notes: Lots of fun this time. As always, there are pictures and videos up. Check them out. Zimos didn't show; I'm afraid we may have scared him away. It's sad, really.
In attendance: Karen, Lexi, Mitch and Zimos (A guy Lexi grabbed off the street).
Games: Change, Countdown, Customer Service, Everyday Olympics, Hesitation Speech, Party Quirks, Professor Know-It-All, Stand/Sit/Bend, Trigger Word, and Whose Line.
Notes: Lots of fun today, I'm sure Tim will be upset that he missed it. We got a bunch of quotes, as well as three videos and some pictures. Zimos was pretty great for someone Lexi just grabbed in from off the street; it seemed like, especially for hesitation speech, everybody did awesome.
In attendance: Karen, Lexi, Mitch and Tim.
Games: Change, Everyday Olympics, Good/Bad/Worse Advice, I like my women, Question Game, Stand/Sit/Bend, Super Hero, Trigger Word, What could possibly go wrong now?, and Whose Line
Notes: I got more pictures. Lexi had to see Tales of the Lost Formicans so we started an hour early. When Lexi got there, she was kinda loopy -- McKinley had given her these strong pain killers. The night flew by, or rather, I should say, screamed by. :) By the end of the night, I was the bitch, Lexi was the witch, Tim had an itch, and Mitch was, well, Mitch. :) See y'all next week!
In attendance: Brian, Karen, Mitch and Tim.
Games: Alphabet scene, Change, Countdown, Customer service, Professor Know-It-All, Start with the last letter of the other person's sentence, Story Line, and Whose line.
Notes: Lexi didn't show, but at least she admitted to all of us in an email that she sucks. :) It was a lot of fun. We met in a room on the south side of the building again, so we will probably meet there the rest of the semester. I even brought a sign for the door. Hopefully we'll have five people next week! Wow... it's been a while since that happened. Oh yeah, and there are pictures too.
In attendance: Karen, Lexi, Mitch and Tim.
Games: Change, Countdown, Customer Service, Everyday Olympics, I like my women, N-Sentence (Sentences must be so many words long), Party Quirks, Trigger Word, Whose Line, and World's Worst.
Notes: We started in room 110 but we got kicked out ... :( We moved to a room on the south side of the building, so if you're looking for us, it may be beneficial to look for us there. We had fun, but we had to cut this meeting short (two hours or less :-P) b/c we all had to be somewhere. Ah well, I got pictures anyway! :-D
In attendance: Karen, Lexi, Mitch and Tim. (Not Mike.)
Games: Alphabet Scene, Change, Countdown, Foreign Film Dub, Hesitation Speech, I like my women, Professor Know-It-All, Start with the last letter of the other person's sentence, Trigger Word, What could possibly go wrong now?, and Whose line.
Notes: Good stuff. Lexi was on a roll! My favorite quote of the day from her: "I like my women like I like my computers; free and passed down from my father." It was great. Don't you wish you were there now? :-P Again, more pictures are up from this meeting -- NEW! a video!
In attendance: Not me, sorry. :(
Notes: Well, I could pretend to know what happened... but all I know is three people showed up. The rest is left to your imagination. :-P
In attendance: Karen, Lexi, Mitch and Tim.
Games: Change, Coundown (Fairy Tale), Customer Service, Freeze, History, Hot Spot, "I like my women...", Question Game, Start w/ the last letter of the other person's sentence, Whose line, and World's Worst.
Notes: Well, only four people showed up this time, probably because it is finals week and all. The four of us who did show up were pretty tired, so it took us a while to get going. We had to cut this meeting short, because a couple of us had to go at 10. This meeting was fun nonetheless, and there are now pictures up from today. :-D Enjoy!
In attendance: Brian, Karen, Lexi, Mitch and Tim.
Games: Change, Countdown, Freeze, Hesitation Speech, Hot Spot, "I like my women...", Party Quirks,Professor Know-It-All, Start w/Last letter of the other guy's sentence, Story line, Super hero, Trigger word, and Whose line.
Notes: Again, another three hour meeting. We were all a bit sluggish, due to the fact that it's pre-finals week. This was still enjoyable and all... especially when Tim fought the blinds and the blinds won. Hoorah to Brian for actually getting them to work. See you all next week! (We're still going to have this even though it's finals week. It should be just a good relaxing thing.)
In attendance: Karen, Jesse, Lexi, Mitch, and Tim.
Games: Alphabet scene, Change, Change emotion, Countdown, Dating game, Foreign film dub, Good/Bad/Worse Advice, Hesitation speech, Hot Spot, "I like my women...", N-words, Professor Know-It-All, Stand/Sit/Bend, Super Hero, Trigger word, What are you thinking?, What could possibly go wrong now?, and Whose line.
Notes: It lasted three hours. It goes by so fast! We're getting better at doing the games, so they're more natural this week than they were last week. There's definately been some improvement. Almost a change in our name this week -- "A Perfectly Good Hole." I think Lexi said it. Jesse and Lexi were trying to spy on the improv group next door, and Jesse was just leaning his ear to the wall to hear them. Lexi says, "C'mon, there's a perfectly good hole" - referring to the hole in the door she uses to watch them. Spooky, huh? :-P Anyway, back to the games we did today. Superb. Having this much fun should be illegal.
In attendance: Brian (Karen's friend), Karen, Lexi, Lexi's man, Mitch, and Tim.
Games: Alphabet Scene, Change, Foreign Film Dub, Hesitation Speech,"I like my women...", Irish Drinking Song, Party Quirks, Radio Call In, Story Tellers, Super Hero, Trigger Word, Whose Line, and World's Worst.
Notes: It lasted for 2 hours and 45 minutes. What a day, huh? I'll bet everyone else is sad they missed it, as well they should be. When I got home, my jaw hurt from laughing so much, and I was on such a high. It was weird, in a good way.
In attendance: Chris, Karen, Lexi, Lexi's man, Mitch, and Tim.
Games: Whose Line, Freeze, "I like my women...", The Dating Game, The Question Game, Themed Story Tellers, and Foreign Film Dub.
