100th Post. I think.
I just finished watching season 2 of 24. Wow. I kind of saw that coming, but Renee had told me something that made me think that what I thought was going to happen wasn’t going to happen. I have to watch season 3 now.
Renee is sleeping over today and she’s at this moment calling random people to wake them up, as she herself is falling asleep under five blankets on my recliner. Alan is getting drunk, which means he’s incredibly entertaining to talk to, but his phone’s battery is dying. Bah.
Today is Renee’s birthday, and last night we went out to celebrate. We were at Durty Nellie’s in Palatine for the Battle of the Bands by 95.1 WIIL Rock. It was okay. One of the bands, Sleeping Shelby, was professional quality. The others were decent, I suppose. Except for the one that did a cover of Tool’s Aenema. He did it almost as if it was a rock ballad. Bah, I could have done better, and I should never be allowed to sing Tool. At least the drummer did a good job with it. That’s a difficult song to drum, needing the dual bass drum pedals and everything.
I test drove a CR-V today with Nicole. It was nice, I really liked it. It sucked that we had to wait for so long (20 minutes or so) because they were busy. But it was nice to actually drive the car that seemed so good for me on paper. While we were waiting, I got a pretty good look at the Accord and the Pilot (which were inside where it was warm). The Accord’s trunk was shockingly small, but everything else about it seemed nice. The Pilot’s interior seemed particularly small, it seemed just about as big as the CR-V’s.
I should go to sleep or something. I’m hella tired. Renee’s amusing when she’s giddy from being too tired.
Feeling: Tired, hopefully not sick

Huzzah for New Egg
I went to Champaign last weekend, and that was very nice. I drove Nicole down there so she could visit her boy. I got to go skating with Alan and Sara. I saw “National Treasure” with Lexi, Scott & Alan. I went to Gordman’s with Alan and saw Nicole and Seth there.
Also, I bought some of the cheapest laptop RAM on Newegg and put it in the old laptop (about five years old) and it runs like a champ now. And by champ, I mean chimp, which is much faster than the animal it was before. So, I’m completely shocked that they still make the RAM that’s compatible with this old no-name computer. Who’s ever heard of Megaplus as a laptop producer anyway? Works well enough, though.
So I’m sitting here watching the last four episodes of season 2 of 24 with Renee right now. It’s pretty damn good, and I’m hoping that next season isn’t disappointing.
Alan’s a great guy. He’s feeling sick now, though. I wish he had more time, but he’s got a lot to do. At least I got him to go on the facebook. I love that site. It’s so silly.
So, I’ve been reading the blog of one of the people I suppose I’m friends with. She has been saying some things that are not appropriate for blogs, and has been telling her side of the “story” of what’s going on with her. It’s pretty immature, as anyone can make themselves sound like a god when they have no opposition.
Yeah, well, I’m not entirely bitter. My life is going better than can be expected. My job is great, I’m about 6 months away from purchasing a new CRV *without* any financing. I am at the lowest weight I’ve been at in years and falling.
Feeling: My feet are cold, 24 is awesome.

AntiHallmarketing
So, this Saturday I’m having some of the girls over to have a nice dinner (and I’m actually going to cook) and some drinks to celebrate antiValentine’s day. See, Nicole and my boyfriends are in Champaign (hence, not here on V-day), and Renee & Michelle are single, so I decided to throw a bit of “boys suck & boys are far away” girls only kind of party. It should be a lot of fun.
Tonight, Renee is probably coming over to watch another 24 marathon. We’re on season 2. This show is awesome.
Feeling: “I’m going to need a hacksaw.”

Champaign Visit v188
I think I’m losing weight. Jeans fit me that did not use to. Ever since Vegas I’ve probably lost 5 or 10 pounds. Who knows why, but I’m not complaining.
[Friday] Drive to Alan’s at 8. Arrive at 11pm. Perhaps go to Lexi’s party for Scott’s birthday (if I don’t pass out when I get there).
[Saturday] Ice skating in the afternoon (?). Alan has ice hockey in the evening.
[Sunday] Alan’s parents are coming down for lunch (and no doubt grocery shopping). Superbowl (probably watching it at a restaurant because Alan doesn’t have a real TV with channels). Home lateish.
Feeling: I would feel better if I ate better stuff.
